Polliwogs

Hi Every one! I got my tadpoles a few days ago!

My Mom and i caught four. We filled a ten gallon aqaurium

halfway with water put some plants in, and a scoop of pond glop :P Yuck!

But they seem to enjoy their little home. They don't eat much So i only need to

feed them one fish flake a day !!! Pretty weird, but they mainly eat the algae and

stuff on the bottom of the tank. SO CUTE!! Every now and then you see one of their

white belly's flash on the side of the glass. Oh, if you are wondering what happened to

last years tadpoles well, The wood frog tadpoles, the ones that we hatched from eggs,

We let all but five of them go, but sadly, those five got eaten because they were in with

the much larger bullfrog tadpoles. The bullfrogs, however , were a great succsess. My largest one, Todd,

Turned in to a frog,

Yipee!! It turned out todd was a Girl, so i renamed her Puddles.

The rest of them didn't turn into frogs, but thats okay because they take two or three years

to turn into frogs. The Spotted salamander dudes, we let go.
