Last fall I found a woolly bear caterpillar slowly making her way across a gravel road. I picked her up and put her in the grass, so she wouldn't get run over. But then, i fell in love with her ( as i do with an uncanny amount of animals ) and brought her back home in a bucket with a very hole filled piece of paper for a cover. It wasn't very elegant, but it worked. When i got home i moved her into a jar with holes poked in the lid. Clover found grass, plantain, and clover quite scrumptious and, some how she got past the bitter taste of
dandelion leaves. Just a few days ago Clover made a cocoon. I cant wait till she hatches!!!
P.S. I did not take that picture. i never took any pictures of Clover as a caterpillar. ( i got that off google image search )
